The Bottom Line:
This Plan Cannot Work
However the project is dressed up, the resources on these pages show: the obstacles are enormous and virtually unsurmountable. One cannot occupy public land and erect private buildings or only fences. Not here. It would be naïve to think anyone can get away with it.

Here is why:
-
Charity law – the land must serve residents, not private football.
-
Green Belt protection – no exceptions for commercial gain.
-
Enough pitches already – 11 in the fields, plus 2 WWFC sites.
-
Community rights – decades of open use cannot be erased.
-
Neighbourhood Plan – multiple layers of rock solid protection.
-
Public opposition – the community says no.

This is not just wrong.
We wish the Wycombe Wanderers well in their own endeavours, but we defend our public green space against any attempt at illegal occupation. Also why should Stoke Poges provide land while High Wycombe is their home and has 15 times more of it?

This is not just shameful.
It is inconceivable that the Council and WWFC are unaware of the legal background and constraints. Forcing the project past the public consciousness nonetheless is morally unacceptable.
This is impossible.
